What to Expect?
At Head First Therapy the mission is to provide mental health services that are tailored to each person’s unique set of needs and individual styles. No matter who you are or where you are in the mental health journey, you will receive care that is collaborative and person-centered. This means that your input is an essential part of the treatment process, with mutual respect and understanding serving as the foundation for a successful therapeutic relationship. Available services will always include the most up-to-date methods and will be drawn from proven, evidence-based practices. This includes EMDR (for more than just trauma), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and numerous other well-established modalities. But the specific treatment plan will depend on whatever works best for you!
Meaningful change takes real work, and Head First Therapy exists to help each person find a better understanding of themselves and develop the skills and techniques to make that change possible.
Clinical Focus
At Head First Therapy you will find support for a wide variety of mental health conditions, with advanced training and experience in the following areas:
ADHD Support
Care that addresses far more than just attention or impulse control. Learn to understand yourself and your brain in a whole new way, with evidence-based techniques and strategies tailored to your unique style!
Personal Growth
Support and guidance through major life changes including parenting challenges, career shifts, relocation, relationship dynamics, or even just new responsibilities. Whatever you're facing, you don't have to go it alone!
Anxiety & Stress
Learning to identify your triggers and use healthy coping strategies is just the start. Together we can also address distorted patterns of thinking and reprocess the underlying thoughts, feelings, and emotions that are causing distress.
Kids, Teens, & Families
A supportive space for children and teens facing emotional, behavioral, and developmental challenges, with services also available for adults and parents seeking healthier, more supportive relationships.
Physical & Telehealth Options
The ability to provide services via telehealth has changed therapy in many amazing ways, but in a world so caught up in screen time and digital distractions it felt important to offer in-person services as well. The use of technology is particularly distracting for kids and teens, so at this time telehealth options are only available for Colorado residents age 18 and up.
In-person services will be held at a private office suite in Windsor, CO. Conveniently located at the eastern end of Main Street the space is easily accessible, comfortable, confidential. Everything from the furniture to the fidgets was selected to provide an environment that can put you at ease but also keep you engaged.
Insurance options available for both virtual and in-person services
